Born and reared in Hamburg, Germany, living and working in San Diego since Dec 1999.
I don’t have a formal art education and background, but Mathematics and Arts have been my favorite subjects from early childhood on.
After completing “Fachoberschule für Gestaltung und Graphik Design” (high school with main focus on Graphic Art and Design) combined with a 1-year internship in a Graphic Design studio, I felt the urge to stretch my brain and dropped plans to go to a Graphic Arts college. Instead, I obtained a master degree in Mathematics followed by a bachelor degree in Computer Science.
I moved to San Diego as an international transfer to join the High-end Server Engineering Department of one of the larger companies in the computer industry.
I have been working with Hot Glass for 15+ years now and recently started working with Ceramics as well.
